What do you guys think is the best converter for the bold? I'm currently using Nero but looking for something a little better. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

i use something called magic dvd ripper. there are a few different options on screen size and resolution to convert to. pretty quick too... takes about a half hour for a full length movie.
I LOVE Cucusoft Ultimate DVD & Video Converter Suite. Rips DVDs and converts from and to just about any video file formats you can think of. Comes preloaded with profiles for many devices. I use the iPod profile that I have used for 18+ Mo for my iPod and daughter's Zune, looks great on my storm or my iPod Touch. You can create custom profiles and tweak resolution, frame rate, etc if you get into it in depth. But for novices you can just pick a preloaded format, drop a file on it and convert.
If you are into torrents at all you can find it all over and check it out. Of course, if you like it you should buy a legit copy.
I agree with the Magic Dvd Ripper group...very simple to use...set it up on Ipod setting...all the movies I previously ripped play on my Bold or Pearl no problem...
i use media coder to convert video files from say avi to mp4. but to go fron dvd to mp4 i would use dvdshrink then auto gordian knot to convert .IFO to avi then media coder to goto mp4 it takes a while but the video and sound quality are better than any of the all in one programs ive tried, plus the best part is all of the programs are free!!!!
Everybody has their own opinion but after much trial and error I have landed on DVDFab Mobile and been very happy with it's results. The conversions look great on my phone and are very watchable on my home TV. With 100+ conversions I haven't met one DVD that DVDFab would not back up/convert. Try it, it has a 30 day full version trial.
My BB doesnt play Mv4 Files just only Mp4's or 3gp. Would really be nice if these that are listed would be in Mp4 or 3gp without having to use any Converter (for .rar or Mv4 files) . Thanks tho.
i tried using handbreak too for my 8900, but wasnt very pleased. i decided to try the video converter i use for my ipod, turned out to work just as great.
