Have had a Storm for a month. Started by using IMAP to connect to a mailbox on my server and to one on hotmail. Having switched from WinMo and appreciating the advantages of DirectPush, I installed BPS this weekend.

When using IMAP there was an icon for each mail account and the Messages icon. Once I switched to BES, I lost the icon for that account (not hidden, not in a folder, gone). The hotmail icon remains as well as the Messages icon which combines messages from both accounts.

Is this normal behavior? Can the old icon be recreated?

I know of 2 ways to do this...
1. Purchase software to install on the device. www getempower com

2. Change/Update your BES:
-- A. If you have one Server see the following link:

-- B. If you have multiple servers see this link:

Thanks for the guidance. I tried the BB-sanctioned solution. No go. Errored out.

Before I go with the first option, I'll cash in my one BB support chit that comes with BPS.

Thanks for the pointer. It looks like a nice app. But I'll try to get RIM's help before tossing out $$$.

I was interested in the display-messages-as-HTML application too.

The display messages as HTML is virtually pointless now since most devices support HTML with the latest BIS updates, no?
