I stumbled upon something and just wanted to know if it was just my BB. Yall try it and tell me if it works for you!

1. Put your BB in standby mode.

2. Press one of the 4 home row keys so that the notification "In standby mode. blah blah" shows up.

3. While the screen is still on with the notification, roll the trackball clockwise quickly for a few seconds.

4. Your BB should now be out of standby mode without pushing the mute button.

I know this sounds crazy and serves no functional purpose. I just thought it was odd. Tell me if it works!

I was just playing around with the trackball and i guess i just rolled it at the perfect time after i accidentally hit one of the home row keys. I thought I maybe hit the mute button and didnt realize it but i tried it again. 67% percent of the time, it works everytime. lol

Hmm seems to be a 4.5 glitch that was fixed with 4.6 and up.

Tried it on my 8800 and it only works when I first put the phone in standby mode and the screen hasn't faded yet. If it is faded and I press a button to get it "awoken" scrolling as mentioned doesn't do the trick.

Thats interesting. I tried what you did and it doesnt work on my Curve that way. Maybe just another glitch lol.

It worked on my 8330 running 4.5.0.131
