I can get a bb bold pretty cheap (100!) (att)
now, i really dont need the bb data plans, as you can see im a regular kid not a CEO or something fancy-schmancy
i can get unlimited texting and regular cell phone unlimited data (myspace!!) for 30 bucks. I'd use opera or something
is this recomendable. will there be any limitations?
you need the bb data plan with any blackberry regardless of the carrier. So if having your email sent to your phone is what you want and you're willing to pay for it, then yes the Bold is an awesome phone. The blackberry internet plan is unlimited internet as long as you get the unlimited BIS plan. However, you would need a texting plan with it. I dont know ATT plans, so if your normal plan doesnt include txting, you would need to add it and then pay even more. So its basically up to what you are willing to pay.
just get a regular phone and get the sms package i know with verizon u can get an unlimited txt and mms and then for 5 bucks a month get ur email pushed to it.
ATT will let you have a BB without a data plan. With a Bold you would have a great phone and media player and you could browse the web via wifi. It could work, but BB are better with data plans.
Firefly. Lol. That is great. What do these kids think we did when we were their age? Get on a bike and ride to friends house and actually interact with your friends!!

Something tells me a firefly wont suit a 14yo guy...
I'm 15, and I have a Bold with BIS and Unlimited Text on AT&T.
BIS isn't actually required unless you want mobile internet or something. If you just want to text, Unlimited text is good enough. You'll be saving yourself a good $30. If you plan on using opera though, you would want the BIS plan, because browsing without a plan puts some kind of charge per minute on your bill, and trust me it will add up
dont you guys realize that mtv killed our generation by exposing us to grand lavish and exhorberant technology and hope?
More like MTV destroyed your parents generation and now we have 14yo's wanting a Bold. Overkill unless you get the unlimited BIS package and 450 minutes w/rollover plan.
You have no use or need fot a BB. Even my overly spoiled 17 year old daughter is quite content with her LG Chocolate that she has had for 2 years and doesn't want to part with.
