I'm running 109 and my screen went black when i clicked on it and it seems as though the backlight won't come back on. Has anyone else had this happen? How do I fix it? I'm still recieving messages because my phone is blinking and still making sounds from incoming calls.

hey kp- try doin a battery pull to see if that resets it. good luck.

I've tried that about 3 times unfortunately and it hasn't done anything! I'm trying to reinstall 109 right now to see if that will correct it....

Ok, so that didn't work - at all... however when i hold the phone up to a bright light i can just barely see the screen.. i've tried adjusting the back dim light but that doesn't seem to be the problem at all. Anyone have any idea?

Maybe ur backlight LED's died. My right side LED's went out on my 3rd storm so that could be it. I dunno i'm just tossing ideas.

I just realized that I can see a light working through the cracks... hmm very strange

I am having the same issue too. But, this black screen only appeared after I accidentally dropped my phone. If I hold the phone up to the light, I can see a thin vertical line on the screen (a crack maybe?). Would replacing the LCD help or do I need a new phone period?

If you have insurance it might be time to call for a replacement.

Plug it in into the charger, let it sit like 15 minutes and try turning it in again.
