    Hello All,
    i recently tried to update my OS to .247. I was originally on .216. i updated and went to see if the "about" screen changed. IT HADNT. AND WORST OF ALL, IT DOWNGRADED TO .167. i tried to re-download the .247 OS and the address could not be found,

    It sounds like you chose the wrong OS to install.

    I would go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, and delete all device software except for OS .247 before trying to install to the device.

    ok, i will try that,
    question, what happens i dont delete the XML file,
    also, how should i go about updating the OS, going to the desktop manager->app loader
    or
    in the apploader file, go to the loader application

    i have deleted all the OS apps on my comp, and installed only the .247 one.
    I have tried both using the application loader on Desktop manager and in the common files->->->appLoader

    nothing seems to be updating,

    I had this exact same problem.

    Open up the search feature on Windows explorer and type in "vendor.xml". There's another copy of it somewhere on your hard drive. Let it scan and delete any instances it finds. Then empty your recycle bin and try again. It should work. Let me know if it doesn't!

    i got nothing in the search,
    i checked for anything named "vendor.xml" "vendor" and any file ".xml" there was one .XML, but it wasnt the vendor one i was looking for,
    please help
