Hey guys,

I just got my storm and I was 1 hour late to work today because my damn alarm didn't go off on the storm. Is there a free alarm clock app? I know it has a built in alarm, but I'd rather not rely on it if there was a third party one that let you make your custom alarm noise or was really freakin loud so it would get my fat rear end out of bed quicker.

I just spoke with my brother, who got the same phone (purchased together on the buy one, get one deal from Verizon) and he is having the same problem.

I am to believe you may not have the alarm setup correctly. If they don't work swap out the phones. But maybe posting what OS you are running may help rectify the situation.

When you set an alarm you have to turn it on. By default it's set to off, which is stupid. Are you sure you turned the alarm on?

I've used the phones alarm many times with no issues whatsoever. No offense but you must not be setting something correctly. You can change the alarm sound by going into clock>blackberry button>options>alarm tune.

No need for an app! Really, just play with the settings.

Wow, I trust my Storm alarm clock more than my regular alarm clock. I've never had any problems with it.

I also trust my storm alarm clock. Used it just the other night when I had a power outage for a few hours. Never had a problem with it, ever.

I too use the alarm in the Blackberry Storm. A feature I would like to have is multiple alarm settings.

I requested an Alarm Clock app a few weeks ago...my alarm works okay...but I would love to have an alarm clock that I can set different alarms each with a different tone.

My default alarm works perfectly....I'd suggest checking to make sure ur setting it up right, and buy a real alarm clock JIC. ;p

Check out the front page of Craceberry. There is an article about a alarm app. While it's not free it does seem to have some nice features.

hey man theres a alarm clock app but sadlt its not free.
i just noticed it at the app store. check it out- its $5 its cheaper than buying another alarm clock. sorry it wasnt free though

I am not sure why people need an alarm app. The Storm's alarm function works great.

Works here, set it to on weekdays, and alarm comes on everyday no problem.

You can also set reminders in your calendar to go off at a specified time as well.

The standard BB alarm clock works fine for me, but it is a bit annoying to have to set additional alarms in the calendar.

Well, I set the alarm as people mentioned above for 6:00 AM, it started going off at 6:30 AM and I was a half hour late to work, AGAIN. Why is this happening? I now have it set for 5:30 AM thinking it might go off at 6:00 AM...

I have been using the alarm on my storm every day since it was released. It has never failed and always goes off. The only thing weird about it is that it is kind of hard to press the dismiss button once it has gone off, but its all good cause it actually makes me wake up to turn it off. Never had a problem, you can even set it to use your music to wake you up.

Well in a little bit here, this Storm is going to cost me my job. I can only get so many flat tires on the way to work and have so many accidents and trains slow me down before my Boss stops buying my excuses.

Then let me suggest something pretty radical. Go by a "real" alarm clock.
