My app center shows a list of apps, although some of them are previous releases. For example, I have MSN messenger v.2.2.31 installed on my phone. However, in the app center, v.2.2.22 is listed and it says "downgrade" underneathe. I try to hit refresh but nothing happens.

Try deleting your MSN off you phone then reboot then refresh app center and see if it brings up the new version. Happened with yahoo for me I downloaded the update ota of the site, then it screwed up my app center.
