    i would like to know if there is a way to have my screen lite up when i receive a text. when the screen is dark-from inactivity and i receive a text i want the screen to come to life. can this be done?? thanks

    thanks for your help-i will try that. i just switched from a palm treo and wasnt sure if the blackberry came standard with that feature. thanks again.

    BBlight is free...I wanted the same thing and certainly got it with BBlight, no complaints.
