    I have been reading some stuff about EDGE/edge. Could someone explain what the difference between EDGE and edge is? Also how i know which is being used on my phone?

    EDGE is a low end wireless broadband technology that is used by at&t or other GSM carriers. It is slow. The 1st generation iPhone was on EDGE. As of today, many of at&t coverage areas are still on EDGE.

    I have a noob question too , I am on tmobile , will tmobiles 3g work on my unlocked 9530 storm? or are they different bands?

    T-Mo is on GSM. If your Storm is unlocked, you should be able to use it on the T-Mo network. But of course, you won't be able to get any support...neither from Verizon (naturally) nor T-Mo (because it is not a phone sold by them).
