Every since I upgraded my Alltel Curve 8330 to 4.5.0.127, I have not been able to get my GPS to lock on. I have gone to the Options-> Advanced Options -> GPS. Under GPS data source I have two options. One is Device GPS and the other option is Blackberry 8330. I have tried both options and yes, I do have the GPS services option set to "Location ON".

Like I said I have tried both options in BB Maps and Amazegps and still cannot get the GPS to lock on.

The GPS worked fine before the upgrade. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Have you tried clearing your cache and downloaded data?

I'm having the same problem as you. It was working fine before. I think they realized it and released the update so it'll force you to subscribe.

Oh well it's not a big issue for me but it was nice to have.

Mine wont even attempt to lock and I'm using .131 worked fine before...steps for resolution anyone? I verified it is turned on same as the first person in this thread...

Same here. Mine worked fine 2 upgrades ago but won't work now. I'm using .127. Where do you get .131? I haven't see that available yet.

I got it off this site somewhere...dont recall now...its platform 3.4.0.25 google 4.5.0.131 and it'll probably pop up somewhere...

.131 is available at the top of the Curve forum. It's a Sprint release.

Give wap.gpsed.com a try. This unlocked my GPS capabilities on my phone rather than paying for Telenav's subscription services. I just launch gpsed and then launch whatever map program I want and I'm locked onto 9 satellites!

Just updated to 131 last night and it's still not working. I just tried the GPSed and that didn't acquire a signal either

How long did you let it try and get a signal. It took about 10 minutes for me to aquire a sat. signal on BB Maps. Once I did get the sat signal, everything using gps(google maps, live search, poynt) worked fine.

edit to add: I'm running .131.

gps works on 131 for me. took awhile to get my first lock
