i have upgraded to the 221, the battery life there was bed...i've downgraded back to 216, BUT
once downgraded it lost the BES connection (i've upgraded with the desktop manager connected to the BES so auto activated it)....
now it gave me ****...
so i wiped the device completly and now it wont activate to the BES
i've wiped and also tried to upload the 216 OS after wipe again.
i've resend the service book
nothing helps....
reset the activation code on BES
it sais pin invalid.... it doesnt recognize it as a BB...
what else can i do???
im with no pohne now

i've checked the BES
the BES says wrong PIN...
tried battery pull

i can use the phone....
send txt
surf
everything
it just wont enterprise activate it
we have tried to set a new activation code
but we get an erorr or invalid PIN....
i dont thing its nuked....

It isn't nuked for sure
The need for reactivation of bes after upgrade is pretty common
Not sure why bes can't be reactivated on your device

I assume IT is doing it right? The PIN is unique so I think the old code is still associated to the pin
That's why the new pin doesn't work

what if they will give me an old activated BB and i will try using the transfer device wizard? will that work?

From what I remembered, the bes code can only be activated on one individual bb
That's what my IT guy said

He does the bes reactivation for me. Time difference so it is early morning now
Let me try to get hold of him at work tmr and post back

In the meantime, try the BES admin forums. The folks there would know a thing or two
