    Hello,

    I dropped my Storm, and the bottom left of the screen has a nice crack, although its not entirely noticeable I'm sure it will grow overtime. I have insurance on the phone, but how do I go about getting a new one? Do I have to mail it somewhere? Or can I go to the VZW store where I bought it and just pay the $50 for a new one?

    call cust. support, they will give you the number to call and a new one will be sent to you.

    Can't go to the store...

    It's a third party that deals with "those" types of warranty claims... They will give you the number.. I thing Signal is the company....

    I'm almost 100% bringing it back to the store is also an option. It may also be a better one because you may get a nice CSR who will give you a new one instead of automatically getting a refurb.

    Yeah, I took it into the store for my old samsung phone and they swapped it on the spot for $50. The rep told me so many people complained about having to put a $300+ hold on a credit card to get a phone shipped to them before sending their old one in.

    Most Verizon stores don't have the replacement Storms. That is why you will have to go thru Asurion. Any other phone, that is not a PDA... you can get the $50 replacement in most cases, as a courtesy.


    If it's the case of a regular warranty replacement, then you have to call Verizon tech support and they will send out the replacement, at no charge of course ,because of the warranty.

    They will ask to hold $300 on my credit card until I mail them my broken one back? Hahha oh FML

    I just got an insurance replacement and the process is really simple. Go to tne asurion web site and follow the directions. Very easy, and no hold will be placed on your credit card. Just a charge for 50 bucks.

    I got a brand new in Verizon original box. You also get to keep battery and memory card. So now I have two of each.
