What are my cheapest options for text plans. Already have vzw bb bis service.

Can I add text for like $5 a month? I don't text a lot but am receiving of more of them these days. Friends like to keep in touch via text.

    Thanks,
    Pat

Just keep in mind that the 250 includes incoming and outgoing.

use BB messenger and it won't count against the 250 text messages. That is if you have others who have BB phones.

Unlimited is definitely the way to go. I would be up to my eye balls in debt to Verizon without it.

I would monitor your usage thoughout the month. This can be done via your my verizon account at Cell Phones, Cell Phone Plans, Cell Phone Accessories - Verizon Wireless If you are getting near that 250, call CS again and have the plan upped to 1000 for $5 more.

    other options are
    1500 for $15
    2000 for $20

If you go higher than that, you may want to swtich to the nationwide select as this will unlim txt and mms.

yes, it does. it does not matter who you send a message to with the $5 plan, it deducts from your bucket, incoming and outgoing.

--the unlimited vzw to vzw messaging starts at $10 a month.

Like Chrisy said, yes they do. For $10 per month you can get unlimited verizon to verizon texting and 500 out of network.

I never text and the 250 is more then enough for me. I flip out on friends all the time. If it takes more then 1 txt to me, then 1 txt back, then it's a freaking phone call. We are not on IM, we are not on PCs. It's a PHONE.

I'd have to go to Unlimited, the month I was on Vacation i counted up the Texts total for a 31 day allotment...

11.4K Texts Total, more Incoming then Outgoing.
Don't think the $10 Plan would work for me

I was thinking about this & realized the cheapest plan depends on your usage. Eleven texts per month or less would mean the cheapest texting plan would be no texting plan. After that, you'd probably want the least expensive plan that covers your needs.

I have the same plan and it although $10 is kind of a bit much when you have to pile on everything as a-la-carte ($9.99 for the line, taxes, $10 texting, $30 BB service...). But it works well, send/receive about 5,000 texts a month luckily most friends have Verizon as well.
