Much thanks to bbcrackman on this whole process. Well it seems that there has been some issues on the install. Figured that I would contribute my efforts in helping those with the install.
I have created an MSI Installer for the files needed for this Hybrid below are the revised instructions.
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE AS A PART OF THIS DOWNLOAD. USE THIS MSI AND PROCESS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Instructions:
I have only made it less possible for errors in the process of completing this hybrid upgrade.
1. Download and Install the BB 4.7.0.103 OS
2. Go to -- C:>program files>common files>research in motion>shared> loader file>
3. Find and click into the folder for the .103 OS ( Should be 9530-v4.7.0.103_P4.0.0.131 )
4. Rename the Java folder to Java103 and Create a new folder called: Java
5. Run Syn's_Hybrid_106_OS_STORM_9530.msi and set the destination folder to C:>program files>common files>research in motion>shared> loader file> 9530-v4.7.0.103_P4.0.0.131> Java
6. When Complete.. Run Desktop Manager and Check for New Software the DM should pick up your OS as 106 and initiate the update process.
UPDATE: Works very well! Process is painless. Be sure to Backup before doing this update. It could not restore all my data as it usually does on an OS upgrade. With the Backup I was able to Restore data files as necessary. All 3d Party Apps were reinstalled and I only had to Restore the data files.
Alot of users where having issues with installing two OS's at once and other DM issues. Also there are some that are "bricking" their storms due to not following directions correctly lol.
I was going to do the whole folder for the install but I dont know what all is involved in the RIM package. If the Leaked OS install only consisted of installing the 9530-v4.7.0.103_P4.0.0.131 folder into the C:>program files>common files>research in motion>shared> loader file> Then I can have an Installer created and all you have to do is point it to the folder where the other installs are and voila. Alot easier.
Ill trial it tomorrow as I will be putting the hybrid onto my girls storm. (shes running .103 now) and let everyone know what happens.
Just downloaded the 106 hybrid but my comp is saying windows can't open the file and it is asking me what i want to do either run a website to open the program or find it from a list. Any ideas?

add the file extension '.msi' at the end of the file name
Thats the one i downloaded from his website and it saved as a rar file, and i had to unrar it. Weird that you didn't get that. i think its a problem with windows, cause awhile back it didnt show the .exe or whatever the file was...download winrar and try it, tell me if it works
So is it actually worth doing??? Sounds like a mission, when I've only experienced a few problems with the .106. Could someone please list the pros and cons?

Dude, you're on Vodafone. You HAVE the .106 This is for us sorry Verizon users who do not have a .106 to play with, so we had to make our own.
the file needs to be unzipped first extract to or run in to the extra folder JAVA as per the instructions in the top of the page. I just finished and what do you know my EDGE has not flicker in a bout 15 minutes fingers crossed this will do it.
Thank you Syn you are my HERO!
Worked great for me. No impressions yet other than that I am experiencing the same issue as some others have reported with the battery getting very hot.

I havent experienced that just yet. battery has been fine on this hybrid. I must say that initially i have a few batt pulls needed but this version is my far the best one I have placed onto my storm.
