He also mentions that "Verizon isn’t going to be the only one, it seems." Looks like he believes Verizon could be seeing those shiny new BB's relatively soon!

well, of course it's not 3G. it's the 8900. but still, EDGE speeds on a curve are not that slow.
wait, it's the 8900. I could care less if it has 3G. this phone is a big improvement over the 8300 series.
i agree. if i had ATT i'd probably just get the curve II, stick a sim card in it and BAM its a way better phone than the bold (which has a crappy camera and crappy att 3g which doesn't work most of the time, at least here in NYC, anyway)
Since when is BGR not reliable??? He also says they are phasing out edge devices not 3G!!!
BGR isn't right about a lot of things sometimes, but lately the two big Blackberry stories seem to be right. First, the 9030 Niagara coming to Verizon soon and the 8900 possibly coming to AT&T hence AT&T branded 8900's in the wild.
And yes AT&T is said to be phasing out of 2G phones, not 3G. There was a email sent out to AT&T a couple days ago telling them to sale some 2G models.
well, my bb using edge is must faster than my blackjack 2 running 3g. and im usually in a wifi area with where i go. saint louis area is a wifi hot spot itself. haha

I hope the Niagara does come out soon but im definitely skeptical. i think june, july is going to end up being where it falls.
less features.... like wifi calling, right? because if that's it, im fine with that. I really want something other than an original bb. I want something new coming for att. more memory, processor, etc. would it be better to stick with this, or wait until later for something newer. like a 3g version (i really dont care for) curve, or a touchscreen bb later this year.

And the whole 5 favorite or whatever.
Also 3G version of the Javelin 9220 "Magnum" pre-production run soon...
