What is the difference between the world tour and the single player option?

In the world tour first place prize is $5 million...i am currently sitting at 4.24 million without the world tour

sorry, forgot to describe the single player, the buy-in in those is lower and the max prize you can win in those is 1 or 2 million i think.

I never can get to where I win that kind of money since I keep getting my high scores reset to zero every time I upgrade my OS.

theres another thread who talks a little about this, but not the record. in world tour... some people start with 1 mil. i didnt get that lucky, i only got lucky enough to start with the 500 then what i earned to go into the tour, but like i said some people start with high numbers. its a bug.

Yeah, I start out with 1M when I play the Series. Figured it was a bug when everyone else starts with $1000.

Oh well...
