the nokia n95/96 can handle flash which is why it can watch youtube files natively...iphones have a special relationship with youtube, the files are converted to (probably) mp4...the blackberry, with no pull or flash ability, has to rely on the mobile site.
Exactly...And I've noticed this as well, even the sound quality is terrible on the Bold on youtube mobile. When i use my 8900, it looks and sounds much better...In terms of visual quality the Bold's resolution is so high and all the videos on m.youtube.com have been scaled down and converted to to 3g2[i believe] so that anyone with a browser on their phone that supports this format can also enjoy youtube. Most phones do not have the anywhere near the resolution that the Bold is capable of. Hmmm, in terms of sound the same reason applies. I assume this also has to do with the Bold's 'sorround' speaker system. The same thing happens if you had an old 3gp recording from an old phone and sent it to the Bold, you should experience the same thing...Sucks
