Just got mine (using it now) and to be honest owning a storm is not a stressful as I thought it would have been. Not one reboot, the app memory holds at a decent 50 or so, no lag at all. The screen is tight and even. I'm running .99 beta and the only I have with it is the washed out screen look. Wait the keyboard is lagging now. Lol. 85/100. I love my storm as much as my 8900

overall it's a 95
average score including some problems and some good impressions left.
the first week i got the phone i got a reboot on .75, I've had issues with screen lock not responding, lag, etc. since the leaks i've been quite happy and impressed with the improvement the phone has made. the leaps and bounds these blackberries make, other models included, never ceases to amaze me. now if they came out with some revolutionary function, service, ability, etc that some other phones don't have then it's on!
I'm running .75. This is my first BB. Every thing I have ever tried to do with it it has worked. It had on bug the first week I used it with the camera. It worked itself out. Never had any other issues with it at all.

You're more dramatic than a teenage girl. Get rid of it then! I wouldn't keep any phone that I deemed that low...I'd give a palm centro higher than 35
On topic...on .99 I give the phone an 85 (80 on .75). I think the next update could make it a 90 for me but well see. I would rank the g1 and iphone a 90 just for reference. With a full blown app store and an Os as quick as .90 but stable like .75 and some themes this phone could be a 95! I'm hard to please though and would need something better than the pre to get a 100

I may be overly critical here, but compared to an iPhone (sorry to mention it) I would have to give it a 70/100. I am no longer impressed with the touch screen. I have had many dropped calls and poor voice quality with the storm even though I have had verizon for years and never experienced this before. The gaps around the screen are ******** and the operating system has some flaws, and could be much faster (running .99).
All that being said, I am confident that the storm will have some MAJOR improvements over the next few months and might actually evolve into what I thought it would be when I decided to purchase it.
I'd break my rating down into sections based on my activities on the phone (.99), but once i average them all and reweight them to a 100 point scale, it comes to 50, or according to my scale, annoying but tolerable
by the way, my scale is:
(1) intolerable (2) very buggy (3) annoying, but tolerable (4) usable (5)
perfect
Music Player: 4
nothing really wrong, would like better transitions between portrait and landscape
OS/Responsiveness: 2
the keyboard still leaves a lot to be desired. as a reference i'd give the keyboard on .90 a 4
IM: 2
the BBM/AIM/gtalk freezes are very annoying
Email: 3
it gets the job done, but problems with gmail IMAP and a seemingly perennial BIS lag ever since i upgraded to .99 stop this from getting a 4
Browser: 4
for what i use it for (WAP News, CB WAP forums) it works great

1. Anyone who compares the Storm to an iPhone IS being overly critical, simply because Apple has had way more time to work out the kinks in their product, so the comparison is not and never will be fair.
2. To answer the question, I rate my Storm probably 85/100, and I'm running the Official OS. My rating is also based on what my expectations were going in. I was expecting a product that would've been maybe 75% and FOR ME the Storm beat my expectations. I didn't have to return it for the usual issues. No dust, no clicking issues, no frequent battery pulls, none of that. Ask me again after 1 or 2 official OS updates, and I'll probably be around 95/100. I don't think I'll ever reach 100 on any device though.
.75 = Battery hog 70/100 since it still seemed to work well when it was not yelling at me to charge it. Could not play my own phone-created videos on the phone?!?
.99 = 90/100. Image dithering is ugly and very noticeable on the highlighted buttons. Battery life is much improved. No other issues. I can take and save and watch my own videos now. I'd love to be able to turn off the d*** transitions. just open the menu when I click it please! The fading in and out is not a "feature" to me.
92 running .99. Put the bluetooth support for video back in, speed up the browser, bring back full color depth, and put the .90 larger keyboard in and I'd give it a 100.
