Ok so i feel kinda happy that i think i'm the first to notice this. I was on my att website looking at my bill and some features i have on my account. I went to my mobile number and noticed that at the bottom it allows me to add visual voicemail as a feature. I tried adding it though and it gave me an error. It told me to call customer care to have it added. So i guess i will have to update my BB to a later version(currently on .217) i dont think that has VVM.
I guess the upside is that this means AT&T will have to release an official upgrade. Good for us, all the bennies without most of the issues of an non network OS version.

thats what i was thinking. if they are already putting this on the website, a new os would have to be released first you would think.

Probably the other way around as I seem to remember reading that if the *vvm* .cod files are installed (like with an "unofficial" OS), it disables the normal voicemail icon. So I don't think they would want to release an official OS that would disable normal voicemail notification icons and such without having other things already in place. (This is just what I read. I removed the necessary .cod files prior to installing .234.)
I have a buddy who works on Wall Street and he told me that soon the Dow Jones will be at 10,000 points.
HAHAHAH. Yeah, aint that the truth. I work for the company, and no one here knows anything about the blackberry visual voicemail. Ive asked everyone who would know, and there is no info that has been conveyed yet. Heck, I even asked the local BB rep last night, and he did not even know the feature was coming out. So, I am not sure how accurate the guys info was. My guess is it was just a guess. The feature hasnt even went live yet in the billing systems. Hope that helps, although its not what we want to hear.
It's free on the iPhone, my guess is that it will be free on the Bold.
I don't know. I think they also pay more for their data plan then most of the BB users, too. Although, if it's part of the OS (and if having a newer OS does in fact disable the regular VM icon), then maybe you're correct and it will be free. But I'm not counting on it until I see it.

BB plan and iPhone plan are the same cost. It's also part of the OS but must work in conjunction with the carrier.
