Every hour, this app will wait until your phone is idle(Backlight off) then execute the following tasks:

    1. Clear the EventLog
    2. Invoke the Memory Cleaner
    3. Kick start the Java™ Garbage Collector
    4. Log an event letting you know the log has been cleared

**Works on any Blackberry model from 8100 to 9530.

**Takes up only 1.94 KB of memory

    **Its FREE as in beer

    **Saves Puppies!

    OTA:
logMaid - Personal Productivity BlackBerry Software - Crackberry Store

logMaid auto runs as a system module. Therefore, you will not see an icon on your home screen.

A battery pull is not necessary when the app is installed.

    Nice! I'll try it out.

Is there ANY chance of an actual icon or menu option in the main BlackBerry options like other 3rd party apps have?

    phrehnck,
Thanks, nice program. It's been keeping my memory up where I like it.
Just one question. I notice when ever my bb resets or I do a battery pull, I have to go into Options>Security Options>Memory Cleaning and enable it.
Is this how it works? Or is there someway to keep it enabled, even after a reset?
    Again thanks.

That option does not have anything to do with logMaid. However, logMaid will run the built-in memory cleaner as part of its payload so you can keep "Options>Security Options>Memory Cleaning" disabled since logMaid will run it itself instead of the system

Is there some sort of option?
There is no options to my knowledge, you know, to disable, choose time to clean, what to clean, etc...

Also, if the app doesn't already, will you set it to clean browser history, cookies, pushed content, etc?

Wow I never noticed the Memory Cleaning option before. That's why
I thought it was your program. When I have it enabled it even puts a
Icon on my bb. Thanks for the info..

    Haha, no.

just cleans logs, and logs are files saved by the phone to remember what all activity has happened. Completely unneeded.

I think something's wrong. LogMaid used to keep my mem around 34MB now it's down to 28MB. What gives? Has anyone else been having these problems???

Probably something else using memory. The memory cleaning and log clearing won't free up a lot of memory. I find it to be a more a tool for doing tasks I typically did every couple of days.

    No, lol.
I meant, the logs are completely unneeded. Which is why this app is so helpful.
