Title says it all. What is the longest term (in hours) have your Blackberry Storm lived without a battery pull... for ANY reason at all.

Please take the poll and reply on this thread with the following:

Running OS Version: 4.7.0.99 on 9530
Reason for battery pull: I personally didn't have to do a battery pull yet with this OS for quite sometime. I usually do it just because I am still use to doing from previous OS versions. So, I would say mine has been over 12hours.

EDIT: If you have not done a battery pull since your upgrade, please poll the time frame since the upgrade.

Running OS Version: 4.7.0.75 on 9530
Reason for battery pull: Haven't done it yet and it's been since about 7:30 pm on february 1st. This is my experiment to see how long I can go without doing a pull on the OS that everyone seems to hate. hehe So far it's gotten a little slower than normal with a couple of pauses to "think" but other than that, completely fine. My free memory has dropped to the lowest it's ever been which is 22.9.

    OS 4.7.0.75 on 9530
REASON: music just started playing randomly as i was putting the phone in my pocket. i was at one of those places where it had to be quiet and the fastest way to shut off the music was a battery pull lol.

quickpull does a scheduled soft pull every morning before i get up, other than that, i havent had a reason to pull it since updating to .99, hasn't frozen or anything its been awesome -i know some people are having trouble with it, but i'm referring to my own experience with it-

so yeah i usually go 24 hrs in between soft pulls and i've gone 2 1/2 full days now since i've actually had to remove the battery -longest time since when i bought it!

    Running: Official .78 on 9500
    Reason: OS upgrade.

I may be the exception here, but I haven't pulled the battery since the upgrade to .78 in early December. The phone's working just fine (but bet it breaks today now!).

Running .75 (installed within 24hrs of it being released) and I've only pulled twice... and that's only because I was trying out a couple beta apps. And both times it was only because the beta apps I was demoing seemed to hang.

Based on the performance of my storm, and monitoring the memory, I don't think there's really so much of a memory leak issue so much as there's a flaw in reporting free memory when you look at it under Options -> Memory.

I'm a firm believer that most memory leak complaints are more psychosomatic than anything else. Moreso it's an error in reporting to the user.

I've pulled my battery maybe 5 times since launch day. Once when the video camera locked up. Other than that I've done it to see how much faster it is. And its not a huge difference for me I guess.

Wasn't worth starting a whole thread about it, but I thought pretty funny that I'm sitting her on the forum and I'm listening to the Today Show and a segment comes on about how to reset electronic devices. At the end of the segment Matt Lauer says how sometimes his Blackberry will freeze up and he has to do a battery pull to reset it ! lmao... Makes me wonder just how many celebrities are members here. Seems like they all have a BB these days.

I do one bout every 24-36 hours bc bbm keeps freezing my phone... Grrr

I still don't understand why battery pulls are acceptable

This is a phone first... What happens if I'm having a heart attack and my phone is frozen??

Surprised to see that this post made you post on CB... noticed that bc you didn't update you "Phone" it still says Pearl.

But yeah, .75 is a stable OS but not as stable as .99

Believe it or not I have only had to do one battery pull since I got my Storm in early December. In mid January the voice prompt would not work with my Jawbone, one battery pull and it was fixed. That is the only time I needed a battery pull. I have only used the official .75 OS.
