I received a 8310 for Christmas - great Santa Claus! My email does not always work. I get some emails, but not all of them. What could the problem be? Is there a filter that I need to change?

PS I'm a novice -- so use plain English!!!
One possible cause could be that you are downloading mail with your desktop client. If it is not set to leave mail on the server, it may remove some emails before the RIM server polls your account for the BlackBerry push. It seems RIM polls the account about every 20 minutes.
