Just installed it. Everything seems to be working besides the gps. I got the "gps is currently unavailable" when I tried using it. Nevertheless, nice quick way of getting addresses and phone numbers.
I just installed it now, I am a first time user and wow the icon is horrible looking lol. What were they thinking? The GPS doesn't seem to work for me either.
When I click on add plugins, it doesn't give me any options. Almost like it's not working. This option is in the menu of the program. Almost like it's not made for the Storm because I was having this problem with the original one I was using that was made for the 8830.
Yeah; the GPS setting is set to on location rather than e911 but it's still not working.
All the other apps that require the GPS location enabled work fine.
This would be excellent when the GPS works!
yeah it is possible that verizon has unlocked the device's internal gps chip, but doesnt allow agps.
so i am wondering if the app just tries to use the internal gps, it works, but if the app sees that the device also can do agps and tries to use it instead, it doesnt work.
I don't think the Beyond411 App is properly accessing the Storm's gps. I've seen a couple of other apps that even have the ability to access a-GPS, but B411 doesn't have the option. On my Storm (no matter which OS I've run) it doesn't seem to be working.
Poynt works just fine on the Storm's GPS. The new beta supposedly pulls GPS info just fine. Pretty soon the programmers from these other companies are either going to do some reading on how to properly query the Storm GPS chipset, or they will loose market share.

What do you mean by that Civic? Just curious since I dont think that I am tracking.
Hmmmmm, I wonder why my GPS is not working or picking up then either on Poynt or B411, any ideas?
