Ok. i have my bluetooth earpiece connected. I am in the gym and play my music, however it comes out of the speaker on the phone and not on the headset. How can i listen to it thru my bluetooth headset so others cannot hear it?

Last I heard this wasn't possible on the Storm.

You need a Blutooth stereo headset and a Storm running the .75 OS. That is the only way to accomplish what you want. The earpieces are not stereo and therefore the music will not play through them.

More than likely BS123 is right but, some mono-headsets allow music. Check your headset's specifications to see if it's compatible. Also, make sure the two devices are paired correctly.

Both responses are correct. Your headset needs to support the Bluetooth Stereo Audio profile. (A/V Remote Control is a cool profile where your headset can forward tracks, pause, etc. My Motorola D9-HD supports this). Most mono headsets will only support the handsfree profile.

To find out what profile your already paired device supports, go to Bluetooth Setup, click cancel, scroll to your device, menu, properties.

You need a BT headset that supports "A2DP" profile. I use a Jabra BT8040 and it works with both music and videos.

Slight correction. All the OS's support bluetooth stereo audio for music. It's video playback and bluetooth that require .65 or.75.

If this is the case why can you stream flycast music over your blue tooth mono earpiece?

Jabra makes a bluetooth adapter that allows that. Its basicially a wireless headphone jack that connects bluetooth. the downsides are its bulky, and you already have bluetooth. Just use the headphones you got and slap on some tape bro.

I got an old $20 plantronics bluetooth that I play music on my storm through, so I can't see the standards being that high.

The easiest way of telling a set of Bluetooth headphones/earphones that support A2DP (i.e. stereo Bluetooth) from the rest is whether it has two earpieces. If it does, it supports A2DP.

I play music through my Jabra BT8040. It's only one ear, was cheap, sounds great and is the only thing keeping me from throwing my Storm against a wall most days

Ok for all those asking about the jawbone. I have one and it does not work. However if you have podtrapper installed on your phone just click the blackberry key and select output. It'll send your music to your jawbone. I also have a plantronics voyager and I enjoy that much more with podtrapper because the volume toggle works; however, the jawbone has better range.

I was just about to say the same. You can listen thru any bluetooth if you have podtrapper.
It will let you listen to any of your audio files thru bluetooth
