    Is there anyway to block a specific numer from either calling or txting my 8830? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    You may be able to get Verizon to block it for you. There is also an application called BlackList / WhiteList, available here: i,softwarelabs: A phone call manager software for Blackberry phone.. I have not used it.

    I believe that program that Jeff has linked to, Black/White List will allow you to do this, but being as I have never first hand used it, I can not confirm this.
