    Lol, Nav

I carry a work issued Nextel i730 because I'm on call 24x7 and that phone is tied into several notification systems. Should something go awry, I'll get all kinds of alerts .

Otherwise, it would just be my BB.

Gave up my RZR when I went to the BB 8700. I really did miss the size of the RZR but how could I do without my BB. Now with the Curve, I feel MUCH better about the size and wouldn't want to carry both.

Oh GOOD! I thought I was the only one. But I confess that the ONLY reason I have the cell is because I got it before I found a deal on the BB--so unless I want to pay the get outa phone fee, I'm a little stuck.....on the plus side, it's a cute little phone, and it's red--I call it the "bat phone"--though I don't think the bat phone was red-lol

I sometimes carry both an ultra-slim slider phone, the Samsung D900, and an 8700. I live in Belgium, both are subsribed to Mobistar, (part of the Orange group) What's cool is that I have a "duo SIM card" in the phone enabled Blackberry. The two devices work seamlessly togethere. You decide which device is going to be your primary device for voice. From then on, all incoming calls will first go to your primary device, however if your primary device is switched off, or if the call remains unanswered the call automatically deviates to your second device. You can't loose, take both devices, just the phone or your Blackberry and always receive your calls.

i have a 7100 from work that i would carry around with my own RAZR for a while, but i got tired of wearing both on the free time...
felt like Batman with a utility belt...
so I get the Curve to replace the RAZR and although I still have to wear both Berries during work hours, I can just use my curve on my own time.

Plus it makes me feel like I'm somebody when i'm walking around with 2 berries on my hip.

After having a Blackberry, I will never use a regular cell phone ever!

It's either Blackberry or nothing at all for me. I would feel like I'm cheating on my Blackberry. I'm very loyal. lol

I have a blackberry 8703e and I am considering adding a cell phone to my family's plan just so I can have a slim phone to stick in my pocket on the weekends and evenings. I figured I can forward my blackberry phone number to this device when I take it out. I'm not sure what to do about text messages though.

    Any opinions?

I was carrying a cell phone, Dell Axim PDA, and an iPod mini (not so mini when you add the case). I gave up all 3 of the above as soon as I got the 8830. It now does all 3 things well enough. THERE'S NO LOOKING BACK!!!!!!!!!

No separate cell phone for me!

Hmmm ... My Blackberry Pearl is a PHONE, too ???
Seriously, with everything the Pearl does, why would anyone carry a 2nd phone with them?

What I _DO_ carry is a Palm, because I use it extensively at work for Spreadsheet operations... I know there are blackberry solutions for that, too, but they are costly and the screen wont show as much spreadsheet data as my palm.

Up until I got the 8800 I also carried a mobile (samsung d600) with my 7290.

I found the voice clarity with the 7290 quite poor, and the lack of speaker phone was an issue.

The 8800 ticks all the right boxes - just one device for me now.

Nope, the reason I stalled on a BB for so long was because I want a small phone, so I had a Razr last. And a Dell Axim PDA with wi fi. Now I've finally merged them since I got the Pearl and I'm home free.

Hi madds007, all I need is my bb & a decent signal to transmit data, make phone calls (this rarely happens), send emails, surf the web, bb msgr, and text.

I called Verizon and requested they add a voice service contract to that device.

The thing that was stupid is that they refused to add my existing line to the BlackBerry they said that it wasn't possible. All they would have to do is cancel the existing blackberry data plan. Then activate the blackberry on my current line and re add the BlackBerry data features. But no, now I have a spare unused line sitting at home.
