$530 shipped (USD) for an unlocked Rogers branded 8900.

I dont want to sign a contract with T-Mobile so I would have had to pay $499 + tax anyway. This way I had it a few weeks early too!

Starting a contract with T-Mo for this phone... Will be paying MSRP for it, which is $500ish?

So you guys accross the pond seem to have to pay for your handsets where as we in the UK tend to get them thrown in with 18 month contracts. I wonder if we end up paying more over the life of the contract for calls and services or are we really getting a better deal here in the UK.

ps, I am just about to add a 16gb memory card to my new 8900. This micro sdhc card is tiny!

If you're starting a contract why would you pay MSRP?

Bought it for $540. Figured that if I had buyers remorse or something, I could easily cancel the service and sell it.

But of course that hasn't been the case

I have no credit (I'm just a college student) so I think my only option is Flexpay monthly
