When at home I use my wifi laptop. When traveling I use my BB and mails are delivered to my handset with a good data plan. So when do you all use your wifi on the BB?

I use it whenever i know wi-fi is available. I don't have the wifi antenna on all the time tho.

Also, when battery is on the lowish side, I don't use wifi

I usually only use it for the sale of using it. I'm on a 6GB data plan and just really don't need it, happy with the 3G speeds. Oh, OK I do use it when I'm doing some extended radio streaming (ie: Moodio or FlyCast) to reduce occasional re-buffering.

But I do use WiFi when I'm out of country "Roaming" as much as possible to avoid getting too hosed on Data.

Only on wifi when I'm at home. I rarely use my laptop or desktop computers anymore.
Sure enjoy the wonders of Flash and streaming media when I do though. >:|

Mainly at home - I leave it on all the time and as soon as I get close enough to home it connects - even when I'm in my car.
Also sometimes use it in hotels/hotspots for free access, especially if out of the Country, to save on data charges.

I never use the WIFI, If I am at home I am on my Macbook Pro, if anywhere else I always have superb 3G speeds.

I was under the impression that WiFi was faster than 3G. I have an unlimited data plan so no money concerns here. But i use it at home, school, work... anyplace that has it. Is there any way to check and see how strong the WiFi signal is?

Most people use wifi at home it seems from the great response my query. As someone put forward- is it an addiction? Ha ha! Probably If I had an external keyboard for the BB I would use the bb for mails but for browsing I would definitely use my laptop- I cant stand the small screen. So what do you all do for tasks other than email ?

Usually just at home or at someone's house that has wifi. I don't really seek it out as my 3G is almost as fast and the coverage is excellent in DFW.

At home or wherever I can get it as it's faster than 3G. But to answer the follow-up question, even when at home I always have my BB nearby somewhere whereas I'm not necessarily going to drag my laptop all around with me. So it is more convenient to respond to e-mails, update notes, etc. Not to mention it uses a heck of a lot less energy than even an energy sipping laptop and only needs to be charged once a day at most.
