I have an email/text envelope icon notification thingamajig at the top of my screen (like normal), but I have gone through EVERY SINGLE EMAIL on my BB and they have all been opened. How do I get rid of the icon ?

Even the hidden folders?
If so I would try a battery pull.

Go to messages. Hit the menu button then view folders. Check all of them and see if something is in there

I guess the old saying is right...When in doubt, pull it out ! A battery pull took care of it.

i had this issue and a battery pull never resoved it! It happened while using aerise pop up alerts. EXACTLY at the moment that I was "deleting prior" emails, Igot a pop up come it.The timing was such that the icon stood ther but the actual mail was deleted with that delete I had done. From this point on, in order to delete the icon, I had to do a device wipe
