Okay, I chcked my settings which I imagine were the default ones. They were Normal/500/100/3.
I'll try Norm/100/100/6 for now. Thanks.

I have wondered about this also. Knock on wood, I have not had any issues with my Storm, but will try 100/100/6 to see how that feels. My phone came set at 400/100/3.

Trust me:

Tap Interval: 500 ms
Hover Period: 100 ms
Swipe Sensitivity: (High) 6

It gives you up to a half-second to complete your double-tap; it doesn't mean you have to wait a half-second between taps, or that it takes s half-second to register...and it's not going to mistake your repositioning the cursor for a second tap. I've messed around with every one of my settings since Thanksgiving 2008, and this is the only real constant.
