Hey guys, i ended up getting a new computer and my phone had .83 from my old computer. I tried downloading .85 to my phone and it ended up saying that i need to reload software. Ends up that my phone wont get recognized and when i try to downgrade to .75 it still doesnt recognize my phone. I have all my stuff back from .75 and .65 but it wont let me restore because my phone is not recognized. Can someone please help.
Try this-On your PC- Go into Control Panel > System >Device Manager. If the BB is listed in the USB ports with an error(! Exclamation point) uninstall the device and then right click and have windows scan for hardware changes. It will detect the BB and then DM will recognize your device.

I had similar issues with desktop manager. The only issue that worked for me was to uninstall then reinstall DM. Hope that helps. Maybe some other crackberry has another solution. Good luck.
my screen on the my bb wont load its just staying white with the thing in the middle and it wont connect to the computer. I tried what you said and it syaing its functioning properly
now on my phone screen it is still white and it says app error 200 and underneath it says reset. When i click reset it does the same thing and acts like its trying to load something
I am in agreement with Don and cain. Remove Desktop Manager from your PC, Delete the thing completely, user settings too. Reboot your PC and install DM v4.6 with no media manager from here https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22
Another member (and me too) have found that changing PCs can fix the problem too. Funnily enough the phone stayed working whenI came back to the old PC - weird.
