If i put my media files on 'repeat' mode....the song still jumps to teh next one once it ends...is it just me?

after playing a song i click on menu and set it to 'repeat' it just doen't work!

Furthermore, how can i bring up the slide bar....so i can navigate to he best parts of the song!!!......

please help!!!!!
