It is going to both AT&T and T-Mobile... right now T-Mobile is scheduled for Feb 18th, but nothing firm right now for AT&T.

Try a Bold! I came from a 8310 and was amazed by the difference in the 2 devices. The 8900 will be a pretty good device and who knows when it will arrive. I may still pick up the 8900 but I dont have 1 regret with my Bold.

No one knows for sure which carrier will release the 8900 first. If you have a source, please share.

I was told 5 minutes ago by AT&T c/s (for what it's worth) that devices usually drop in the States about 30 days after dropping on Rogers.
Any of you Northern peeps know when Rogers started sporting the 8900???

Initially, that was the word. Now, it seems ATT will get it first.

By the by, sorry about those Jets. No more Mangenius, perhaps no more Favre. So sad.

I hope this phone comes out soon. I'm due for an upgrade and I've made up my mind about getting the 8900 a month ago. Come on at&t, release this phone already.

It "soft launched" on 11-28 and "officially" launched on 12-5, I believe.

I was attempting to answer that question since before someone thought AT&T would drop the 8900 30 days after that. I can't remember for sure if Rogers released it on the Friday or the Monday. If it was the Monday then that would have been the 8th.

well, its 30 days as of today. LOL.

Anyways, is this thread dead or what?

Can anybody recap what the ATT 8900 status is objectively?

Like others I am considering buying unlocked but I would prefer carrier support and a 30 day return policy. Any other pros/cons?

I'm in the same boat as you are. Unfortunately there isn't any reliable information available right now as to what AT&T will do with the 8900.

Current rumor has att skipping this generation of curve as they just released the 8320. Sounds like they might be holding out for the 3G version.

Interesting since someone was already saying they have them in stock, but not in stores... kind of like they did with the 8320.
