Seriously, like 5 mins, yet the girlfriends take about 2. I am running .210, I have a lot of ree memory. What gives?

This is a question more than an answer but do you have any apps running in the background that might have to be cycled off during the process? Also if you have a custom theme, have you compared the time frame to the OEM theme? Just trying to help you brainstorm...

Mine only takes 1 min 30 seconds. I'm running .185 with 47 mb free memory on restart.

When I was on .185 it was quick, now, on .210, as the OP said, its like 5 minutes

A restart can take a long time indeed. Mine took around +2 minutes right out of the box. (.162)
Now I have some apps installed and run .190 and it takes around 3 minutes.
I think it's just the way it is. My beloved Curve took about 30 seconds.

My Curve took a while to boot up as does my Bold. It really heavily depends on what you have installed.

Either way - BBs are notorious for taking a long time to start up. I think my Macs and PCs boot up quicker than my Bold haha

I would say if you have custom themes, lots of apps open, and stuff that starts up on login, I would say that's probably why. I'm on .216 and it does take a while, that's for sure.

Maybe it has a lot on it's mind?

I heard it boots up quicker if you offer it an iPhone sacrifice.

    Lol...

Mine boots up in like 30 seconds after a battery pull... All my older BB's took like 5 minutes which felt like a lifetime. Only have a few apps on it

Take pictures of the new Curve often with your Bold. Save picture and email to yourself.

Mine takes a few minutes, but I rarely reboot. Even after it completes the reboot it takes another couple of minutes to get up to speed while it checks in with the mother ship. I can find something else to do for 5 minutes, I'm not that impatient.
