I've had mine since day 1 and love it so far. on the leaked .83 os with no problems. Whenever my gf refers to my crackberry.com addiction she says that I am "cracked out" when she's telling her friends lol.
I love my Storm. I recognize it has flaws as do most 1st generation devices, as a frequent early adopter I accept this. At first I had difficulty, had one of the bad screen (since replaced), and had to get over the "learning curve" BUT now I'm in love with this phone!
There are still software issues, but with the updates (I'm on .83 now) it gets better each time. And now that the SDK was finally released 3rd party apps should start rolling in and really making this a BB to love.
I love mine too.
I'm actually quite sick of reading through all the negative reviews. Expecting perfection out of any electronic device is the kind of wishful thinking I would only expect out of a three year-old.
I love mine too. As a former Treo user, I switched to the 8830 and found it very difficult to remember to stop touching the screen (Hello? <RING> Shizit, Hello). Got my storm this week and already love it. Mine must not have the click problem as I can type better on it than the 8830.
My only concern thus far is battery life. I probably just need to quit playing with it so much.
Love mine as well. It is an amazing device! The funny thing is I don't have any of the problems people are always talking about (lagging, clicking, OS problems, reboots, etc). I prefer it over my Bold.
New to BB and to this Forum. Kind of a steep learning curve for an old f*rt like me but I'll get there... maybe be even enough to show my wife how to use hers. Definitely addicting, too.
Interesting reading...have had mine about 2 weeks and the battery has never lasted more than 6 hours after a full charge. Everything is either off or about as low as it can get. Today, after charging all last nite, I made two short calls about 8 and 9 minutes and 4 texts. On a total of about 5.75 hrs and it was at 19%. If that is the extent of the battery life, it will be back to VZ and get something else. Oh, VZ says no extended life battery is available from Blackberry. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Just try getting a replacement battery. I was just on the phone for almost 3hrs and my battery is at 78%.
Also, did you let the battery fully charge before using the phone? That makes a different. Call VZ and complain, maybe they'll send you a new one.
I'm happy with mine as well but I really really want to upgrade to .83 but I'm so scared what is everyone else running .75, .76, .83? I'm currently pushing .75! It works fine, but I want to know what people whos blackberries are running good. I know there are post and threads about the different OSs but I want to know about the OS people with a good bb are running so so answers would be helpful in a decision! Thanks and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Go to .83! I've upgraded several people at work in the last 24 hours. Don't worry about anything happening to the device. There's Brick fixes and a family of people to help you through dark times if they come, lol
Absolutely love mine. There is not a better phone on the Verizon network. I guess I should say
There isn't a more capable phone than the Storm. I have been on vacation for a week now and
Have taken a ton of pictures, all geotagged of course, used for NAV, emails tons of texts and
Although I do get lag and a disappearing keyboard I understand that most of it is normal for a
device like this. My i Pod touch lags on the keyboard almost the exact same way. Can't wait
for thw next two years with this phone.

This phone is da bomb! Even though it is a first generation phone, it is still da bomb! I am always showing it off. My son has a storm also and he has been saying that he is going to take it back and he just can't bring himself to taking it back! I will never go back to windows mobile.
Love mine had for 1 week was skeptical due to neg comments. Took the plunge anyway and by far my fav bb ever and my reception is great. Now my husbnd got one and my dad wants to trade in his HTC mogul and come to VZW for a Storm
