RIM rep says the new model will have full button QWERTY and a touch screen. I cant remember if he said there will be a track ball. I kind of doubt it - there's only so much room if the screen is any larger than a Bold.

That's all the information I have.

These two are correct, but talking about two different versions of upcoming Bolds.

The first new Bold 9930 the "Niagra" is an EV-DO version of the Bold, and possibly dual with HSPA, QWERTY keyboard (NO TOUCHSCREEN),3.2 Camera, GPS, and others.

That one will be for Verizon, Sprint, Bell, and Telus. Est. release 1H/CY09

Now the Touchscreen Bold 9900 the "Pluto" is a QWERTY and touchscreen.

For AT&T, Rogers, others. Est. release 2H/CY09.

When is your contract up? You can always go month to month after the contract if there is a semi solid word on a new release in the near future.

Verizon will be getting it but I honestly believe Sprint is going to get it first.

My local Verizon store (Santa Rosa, CA) tells me it's VERY NEAR! I have several phones with one just about ready for upgrade (new every two) so this works out perfect. I don't care so much about the WiFi . . . just hope A-GPS isn't crippled and it's got the upgraded 3.2mp camera. I can't wait!

Considering this is in a thread titled "Bold Verizon", I think it's safe to assume that Crucial is referring to the BB that Verizon will be getting.
