Just curious. I have read where Sprint is supposed to be less expensive. Not sure what other carriers are charging. I have had my 8330 Curve for about a month now. Before that I had an LG.
My monthly payments went from around $68.00 a month to right at $100.00 plus a month.
When I got the phone, the sales person never talked about having to add a BB vision pack...
$25 a month unlim text, data and 500mins.. That's on a hook up.. Best deal is the $99 unlimited everything plan... Anywhere else you'll pay about that for just 500mins. Sprint has that going for them
1250 F&F Sero
Unlimited Data (Power Vision)
Unlimited Texts
Nights/Weekends @6PM
Free Roaming
Free Mobile to Mobile
No BB Plan, I use Sprint's Power Vision which enables me to use BB Browser, Gmail, Sprint TV, etc. So no BB Email or BB Messenger or BB Maps (but I'm OK with it).

So, what I pay a month, is that about right?
Thanks all
Every provider has their own terminology so I am not certain what a BB Vision pack is, however, Verizon charges 29.99 for having a BB because you get unlimited email push and Internet Browsing. This is in addition to your voice plan.
Four sprint phones sharing 1500 minutes with unliminted data, text, picture, navigation and direct connect for 1 of the phones. Insurance for 3 of the phones. Work discount of 8% brings my bill to $152 with taxes. BEST DEAL EVER! Vs. $235 from Verizon and $220 from AT&T also using discount.

I've only had my Blackberry about three weeks, so I've not gotten a bill yet with taxes, etc, on it. Plus, I got a free month for upgrading my phone and taking a survey by a certain date. However, my mother's with Verizon and her plan's not as good as mine and she pays over $100 a month.

So yes, Sprint is cheaper, at least for me, and I get 100 more minutes per month. I save over 56.28 per month vs AT&T, or 675.36 per year. Granted, I have a no longer available plan, but if you look at currently available plans:
AT&T
39.99 450 anytime plan
8.99 7pm nights
30.00 BIS
20.00 Unlimited text
9.99 Navigation
Total: 108.97 + Tax
vs Sprint
39.99 450 anytime plan
7pm nights included
30.00 BIS
Unlimited text included
Unlimited Navigation included
Total: 69.99 + tax
Thats a savings of 38.98 per month or well over 500 per year if you factor in taxes. That's a significant savings.
Of course if Sprint does not work well where you are, then no amount saved is worth it.
I've been with Sprint since 1999, and with every resigning of the contract I have been able to garner a better deal.
As of right now I have:
Unlimited BB Data Plan w/text
Base 240 minutes
300 Free Minutes
Free Nights and Weekends at 5PM
Free America Roaming
Free Long Distance
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
The plan is really just piecemeal, but when its all added up with taxes/fees minus loyalty discounts I pay $38.57 a month. I can sacrifice the newest BBs at this price.
