For me to get a phone, my parents have to be able to monitor it. What would be the best way to do this on blackberry 10? They need to be able to see texts, even if deleted.

Your folks are out of luck.

It's 2018, and kids can add and remove IM apps faster than anyone can follow anyway.

With the parental controls you can disable downloading apps, is there anyway to monitor just sms? As a hobbie I run servers and considered running BES, I figure that would track SMS but that seems like a lot just to track SMS, and expensive.

Parental controls? Heck, a kid will just go buy a $50 burner device for IM using WiFi or mobile hotspot.

An EMM solution would be crazy for something like this.

Android and iOS have some parental solutions though. Still doesn't stop the burners. They are really meant for kids 12 and under - who shouldn't have mobile devices anyway imo.

I dont make my parents rules, I just have to find ways to comply with them. What is the cost of BES? I know its over kill but it would be fun to run. And I really would like a blackberry 10 decice.
