Yesterday saw the December 2017 Sprint Update AAS441 is available to download. Please all those with a Sprint BB Keyone let us know if your Keyone is working on LTE as it should since the update? Any issues as a result of the update? What New features do you see? Appreciate all replies. My experience with the last 2 updates was not good as it did something to my network settings and APNs that caused phone to work better on CDMA (3G). So I am being cautious about downloading the latest update. Thanks in advance for Sprint K1 user replies!!Happy New Year to all!

I checked, this doesn't come with the same new features that other KEYones got with their December patches (Locker, convenience key profiles, etc). This appears to be just the December patch.

It would contain security updates if not the other extras.

LTE and SD card function fine w/AAS441 on BBB100-3. Disappointed to not receive the file manager and gallery apps from Motion.

I also updated my keyone to the aas441 update and the performance is bad and no 4G/LTE. It's stuck on 3G. Don't update. I have the Sprint keyone also.

wow! thanks for the warning. Anyone from BBM can look into the issues with the recent Sprint updates ? They have caused my BB Keyone data connections to not function properly for some Chrome searches and of my Taxi apps here in NYC.
can u tell me what APN's are checked since update?

Any chance of Sprint ever bringing WiFi calling to the Keyone? I'd like to try this device out, but I live in a very wooded area in the mountains and rely on WiFi calling in my home.

I have a problem with the device blacking out and locking itself when the network changes from LTE to 3G. Then when I go to unlock with my fingerprint it wants me to re-enter my PIN. Can't find a solution. I've booted into safe mode and the problem still occurs. Any ideas?

I've been having service issues also since December before that aas441 update my phone was working fine on lte and 4g after update my phone keeps cutting out and no lte or 4g just spotty 3g service. I thought that It was my building or area at first but nope all over all the time I feel like this update only fd up our phones no real benefit. like is sprint tryna kill sales of bb. I called chat and everything basically they said they don't know what's wrong in very round about way.
I really like my Blackberry device I wish sprint would stop f-in around and step their game up.
they still want that bill money well I want my service.

I've been having the same issue since the December update, my phone locks up between stations on the subway, and sometimes when I go from wifi to LTE. Hopefully the next update will resolve this... in the meantime I try to look at it as a gentle reminder to not constantly stare at my phone in public. :-)

I had other (much worse) connectivity issues when I first got my keyone and I found an awesome Sprint tech guy who was extremely helpful. His name is John and his direct # is 405-603-7233. He helped me change my settings so I wasn't dropping calls (or missing them altogether). AND he confirmed that i have a very weak Sprint signal inside my apartment (previous Sprint techs kept telling me it was a problem with my phone, that their maps showed a strong signal on my block... GRRR). Anyway, he set me up with an Airave, a signal boosting device that works with your wifi, which has been immensely helpful. If anyone has a weak Sprint signal (such as the above poster who lives in the mountains) I recommend calling this guy and asking for an Airave (supposedly there is a long waiting list but he somehow got one out to me within a week!). Good luck!

Have you tried asking Sprint for an Airave? I probably have a grandfathered deal at $0, ($4.99/mo with $4.99 credit) but worth checking on.

Thanks for your response. I actually have an Airave at work, but Airave's only get 3G service, not LTE. It would just be much easier and produce better results if it simply had WiFi calling. I haven't really checked much recently, maybe it's available now, but I doubt it. At this point I'll probably stick with my iPhone. As much as I love BlackBerry's hardware, I don't know that I would be able to run Android. Not a big fan.

No, actually I learned from the sprint tech guy (John, who I mentioned above) that you shouldn't mess with the APN settings. He determined that somehow my phone was trying to connect over the channel (I think that's what it was called?) that is normally used by Verizon. Sorry I don't remember the specifics. If you're having connectivity problems, you should definitely call him, he was really helpful and honestly he was really excited to learn about the Keyone, he said he's always liked BlackBerry. :-)
