Anyone receive any news, dates or have any rumors as to when the new patch that's supposedly going to fix the notifications bug will arrive?

Nope. "Soon" seems to be the song that's played the most.

There are a few KEYone models receiving the September patch right now (build AAO472 for them): China, Japan, and one BBB100-2 model, which is probably Chile since it just launched there. Others should get the patch, with or without the same build, in time.

Is "in time" the same as "soon", or should we agree that " it's coming"?

None of the usual places I check to see if an update is incoming have any mention of it (Rogers, Telus, PTCRB), although if someone with the right model KEYone wants to volunteer one could make an autoloader for the AAO472 OS which, due to it having the September patch level, hopefully fixes the notifications bug.

Nothing significant as of now, even I tried some indirect routes to alert them about the problem without any success.

Put download on pause if you would like the update download notification to go away.

My scanner tool tells me that the unlocked North America BBB100-1 (PRD-63116-001) is set to receive AAO472, although that would probably require someone to reload the OS via desktop updater tool to make sure.

Hahahahaha!!! What a joke - many of us are still waiting for August... July... updates... I wouldn't be so ticked if it was a minor bug here or there that I was waiting to get fixed. But we are talking about bluetooth not working properly - people can't even go hands free as they drive - this is major... what a piece of junk phone - I don't get why BlackBerry doesn't care to MAKE CERTAIN that the carriers are getting the updates out in timely fashion... September 07 ... still waiting for August update that supposedly fixes the bluetooth issue (yes Telus - I'm looking at you). *end of rant*

to be fair, anyone that didnt get july or august was spared the horror of the notification bug. my device only got july, nothing from august and i just assume it was because they didnt aggressively roll it out due to the bugs.

    Lets hope so.
Enough damage already, with this bug.
The only workaround (we all with the July update know) is to reopen timely, by hand, the killed apps.

Just dont understand how 2 months (to be optimistic) are needed to fix it.

What's the process to roll back to the last known good update just so we know?

NM, answered my own question...was debating on rolling back, but will wait at this point and pray that the notification bug is resolved with this update.

    Nope.
But a preemptive screen fix is easily doable IMO.
Or, keep at hand some biadhesive tape and be careful to seek for signs of screen lift.

So is the September update out or not? I'm confused. I purchased a carrier unlocked KEYone. I had to wait a few extra months and pay more $$$ in order to get a carrier unlocked phone that SHOULD be getting the updates right away and don't have to wait for the carriers......So why does my KEYone say that the latest update is the August update? Shouldn't it have gotten the September update that came out a few days ago?

There isn't any visual difference between the menu in or out of fastboot, I think. If you select "Reboot into fastboot" and try to run fastboot getvar device from a connected PC you should see "bbb100" if it works.
