i recently updated my BBOS on my bold 9930. after the update, when my mobile restarted bold displays as china telecom, in the menu screen there are some default apps liks 189-email, Vnet, imusic, customer service.

is anyone experincing the same ?

hi this phone i am using since 1+ years. i remember i did this around 8 months back i guess. when i bought this phone no such update notification received. bit after update whenever i restart my phone screen open up with China Telecom. and those app which i mentioned are in chinese language. idk whether will this really create an issue?

You need to run it through your desktop, although every BBOS thread should have a thorough install guide in the first couple posts.

I think the linked one is a 9790 file, though. Try this one: /blackberry-bold-series-f235/new-7-1-0-1066-update-verizon-9930-a-872741/

It isn't meant to be opened by your Bold. The OS download should be installed on your computer and the update your Bold with BDM.
Check the second link provided by thursak in post #8 for guide.
