I need my Q10 as my primary phone, but while it was down for a couple days I bought a Moto G4 Play.

The MG4P streamed Pandora, maps worked great, etc but I don't like to text on it.

Got the best of both worlds by using the Q10 as a primary phone, enabling the hotspot, and wirelessly latching the MG4P to it and streaming off of it to my car.

Enables me to still use the BlackBerry where needed but close the app gap.

Plus - the MG4P is cheap enough ($65 USD) to leave in the car for trips.

May help others that want to use a legacy device still (myself included).

Yeah the 2 phones is a pain, that's why I would suggest leaving a burner android phone in the car to interface with the car's head unit.

    Why would I be bitter?

    Your comment makes no sense.

I'm glad that dual carry is working out for you! I did that for a little bit as well with a curve 8320. Just curious to hear what other apps that you wanted to fill the gap besides Pandora and maps?

    Hey - thanks for asking.

For my daily driver I use NFL Mobile; Android Auto; interface with my Pioneer AVHX-4800BS head unit via BT; youtube; Hulu; Netflix; cars.com; chromecast; redbox to name a couple.

But mainly need to stream Pandora, and unfortunately BlackBerry Maps parked me in the middle of a cornfield last time I used it.

On the reverse, I really only want to use the PKB of the Q for texting, as I don't like getting smudges on the screens of my phones.

So basically you can replace the second phone (Q10) with a screen protector which has an oleophobic coating.

Interesting - is there such a thing that actually works?

I use a pen stylus on my DT2 as the screen size is perfect for it and doesn't mark the screen.

The Q10's screen is not so precise when using the stylus but is more accurate than my finger most times.

Yes - I find a damp washcloth with some body wash works best for cleaning phone screens.

    I don't think I could even buy a S4 for $65 ...

Edit: just saw a commercial for it's infinity screen - lol

I feel ya there, I wish bb10 had Pandora or a native client for it. I love typing on Q10 as well!

Oddly I have seen more than one person dual carry iPhones (as in 2 not identical iPhones). I have no idea why, I didn't bother to ask them yet.

They were more than passing strangers so I know there weren't just temporarily holding one for a friend or something.

I prefer the Q10 form factor only larger, but looks like narrow and long is the new thing.

I have been a Pandora user for years for their "shuffle" feature - great for trips so everyone has a station play once in a while.

I've been building a few Spotify channels for when I'm the only person in the car. It seems to work ”good" on the Q10, and is probably the only app I have that gets regular updates on my BlackBerry.

Two different Sims? Work? International sim?

    Lots of reasons why

Why don't you just use the cobalt apps? Although I suppose if your leaving it in your car, as a car interface, its not really a second phone, its a GPS unit/mp3 player.
