That is the million dollar question. No one can answer this one yet. They are rolling out a brand new backend with a bunch of new security features. Will the new Android app still be at 4.3. Will have to wait and see.

IMHO if I must change my Phone for (actually) one App for future using it's crazy idea. I hope that android port (apk version for example Whatsapp) aplication is normally running after 30.06. I love my Passport and I don't change my Phone now and next year

So, what is the latest regarding WhatsApp? We know they have dumped BB 10, I did install the Android version of WhatsApp onto my BB10, sending and receiving messages worked perfectly. Receiving pictures worked. However, it would not push to the Hub and would not send or receive video clips. Anyone worked out where we go from here. I don't really care for WhatsApp. I Much prefer BBM, but I got only 9 contacts on BBM, family friends co workers are all on WhatsApp. So need WhatsApp. Anyone figured it out yet?

Sure, buy a PRIV, DTEK or KEYone... obviously BB10 is being left behind.

That's what my pet monkey suggested. But I was hoping to hang on to my BB10 for a bit longer. Only because I hate android. I was hoping a tec man was on the case. Priv Dtek don't interest me one bit. The Key not sure.

I don't use WhatsApp but isn't there a WAfixx app that allows you to receive video etc? I'm pretty sure that notifications will not work with the android app but someone may correct me on that.

It's the corporation that owns / develops WhatsApp - FACEBOOK. If you want to slag someone, slag them and not BB.

Uhhhh--newsflash! BB10 is pretty much done. It is time to move on if you need WA that badly and can't be bothered to check out a possible workaround. Anyone needing apps will either have to look for "fixes" or move away from BB10. It is that simple.

If you read a little slower you will see I have Never slagged off BB I am actually doing all I can to hang on to my BB. I am not into social media not into Angry Birds and all the kids stuff. I'd be happy to run with my P9982. WhatsApp is the least of BB problems, if I was to slag off BB. Need WhatsApp as almost everyone I know uses it. If a fixer can solve the problems with whatsapp then I'll go with it. As for BB10, as long as BB are selling handsets with the BB10 OS they will have to warranty the handset my PD has almost two years warranty left, so BB10 is not dead yet, however I'm not expecting any OS updates. Was hoping to find a way to keep WhatsApp going. Don't need advise from an Android sheep regarding BB.
