hi i couldn't log in to my msn messenger / gtalk on my BB 9900
it says " connection error : problem receiving data from server.

i tried both wifi and carrier network.

can any one help me solve this please

If I'm not mistaken Google talk had been deprecated by Google and consolidated within hangouts.

If you follow the resurgence thread, you'll note that I've tried both IM+ Pro and Trillian for use for Google Talk, AIM, & ICQ. I still have a few friends that prefer to IM over anything else. As of 03/28/17, IM+, IM+ Pro and the BlackBerry AIM client will also stop working for connecting to AIM also. Trillian has been working great for all Google Talk, AIM, & ICQ for me since I picked it up last week. It's $0.99 in the BBW. I had to create my Trillian account on my Priv and then I was able to log into the app on my 9900. Other than that work around, it's been great. You could probably create your Trillian account via the web also. Hope that helps.

I'm hoping for the best. LOL. I use GTalk more than AIM/ICQ. If it comes to an end, it comes to an end. If that's the case, I'll have to re-think my use of the 9900 as much as I'd hate to. :-) Take care.
