The Playbook is slow pulling up pictures on the web, changing thru pages, displaying content. I have used it a lot for looking information up on the web. I think there may be programs running in the background I'm not aware of. I don't have any large files stored on the device. It used to run faster.

I think it's the Internet outpacing its browser.

It was always slow, especially with large content pages.... which from the time the PlayBook was release to now, I expect even more content is on the average webpage.

You can always reload the OS, as that seems to greatly improve the PlayBook and most BB10 devices performance. But Checkerboarding in the browser is a known issue...

Do you observe an improvement in page loading times with JavaScript disabled? (inhibits a lot of the pushed bandwidth soaking adevertising) Have you ruled out ISP based contention/latency issues? Is your PB's WiFi bandwidth good or perhaps marginal?

Secure wipe, don't install the update for all the apps and then only sideload the apps you need from the thurask thread in the playbook section on here.....ideally don't install android!!
