I am trying to change my software OS from Verizon/RIM 10.3.3.1463 10.3.3.2049. I turn off automatic update and shut down my phone and install the newer version just fine. But when I restart, it automatically turns the software update back to on and starts downloading 10.3.3.1463. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dep

Yes it's very annoying. I'm getting the update notifications about four times daily and I don't want to update to 10.3.3.

There is no way to stop them coming in unless you leave you phone switched off, which is hardly practical.

Settings --> Software Updates --> Options --> turn off 'Automatically Download and Install Software Updates'

I'll just add to this, that when I last turned off auto update and then manually checked and updated, the update process reverted the switch and the next update was auto!
