I got an alert for a VZW BB10 10.3.3.1463 OS update (533 MB) at 3:48P EST.

It says this software update includes enhancement and improvements for your Z30 including:

    OS upgrade to 10.3.3

    Bug fixes

    DETAILS > verizonwireless.com/support/blackberry-z30-update

    Software Version: 10.3.3.1463 (OS 10.3.3.2205/ Radio 10.3.3.2206)

The BlackBerry 10.3.3 software update provides NIAP certification to the BlackBerry 10 and adds a number of bug fixes.

The National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) is a United States government initiative to meet information technology security requirements.

BlackBerry 10 devices (BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.3 and later) support NIAP Common Criteria functionality. When the "Enable NIAP Common Criteria functionality" IT policy rule is selected, regulated BlackBerry Balance and workspace-only devices negotiate all Transport Layer Security (TLS) connections according to the Suite B Profile requirements defined in RFC 6460 including encryption, digital signature and key exchange.

    Other bug fixes and benefits:

    - Fixed device monitor feature; better mobile data usage - tracking

    - Improves device responsiveness and fixes Blackberry HUB access

    - Prevents the device from connecting to unsupported roaming networks

    - Fixed issue where text messages weren't received when the phone was powered off

Well, didn't know that. Do you think this will be the last one for this OS or the Z30? Everything's working just fine for me right now so I probably won't update. I'm scared to use it because of all the past issues that update 'improvements' have caused with older OS's and phones.

Thanks for the update, but no need for multiple threads.
I understand. But this VZW section is usually quiet with old info. So thats why I posted it in here too then seeing above this update is already weeks-old.

Hard to say really with VZW but I doubt it.

I just checked and have it available as well. I am a bit hesitant given all the problems. Any Verizon users install it and not find any issues?

Ok so far. No guarantees but... also really no difference in functions that I can see!

I feel like the OS is a bit faster. My notifications are louder and sound tinny.

    I am getting a message:

"Unable to connect to the update server. Please check your network connection settings or try again later."

I am solely on wifi with my Z30 since my Priv is using the Verizon account/data. But shouldn't it be able to download the update under wifi? I checked and I don't see anything limiting access.

Okay, now I just got notice but it wants me to free up 670mb for the install. I don't seem to have that much on the internal drive.

Finally, cleared out sufficient space and it partially completed overnight and need a restart this morning. Done.

Update: battery life is only 6 hours now, phone runs hot, and some Bluetooth devices that once hooked up now fail to. The Mercury couldn't come fast enough. Q10 is getting tired.

I ran the update. Everything seems fine...but for one problem. It killed my bluetooth connection between my car and my Classic. I'm really angry about this. Worked perfectly before. I've tried everything to restore the connection. No luck.

Anybody know how to roll back an update?

Try deleting all of the Bluetooth profiles under Settings and also deleting the phone from the car's system. Then re-pair them. It has worked for some.

I am still being stalked by this update request and am really tired of it. I don't want to update & have dismissed at least 20, if not more, attempts but they just keep popping up in an alert box and in the hub every few days.

I think it's interesting how they put the dismiss button just below and very close to the update execute button so if you're not paying attention you'll accidentally hit it & download it & that's what I'm scared is going to happen. Is there any way to permanently stop these requests?

Also, if the update download is started, intentionally or not, can it be stopped & totally aborted or is it the point of no return? Thanks
