While installing any android app from amazon or apkpure, I usually get this prompt that app needs access to all files at remote storage provider. What does it mean? Is it safe? Previously I used to pay attention to this and don't install the app. But when crucial apps asking for it, I stopped paying attention to it and started downlading everything by ignoring the prompt

It depends on the app, some apps may have a legitimate need for your shared files (i.e., a social network that lets you upload pictures), others may not use it at all and some could be malicious.

Generally if you don't feel comfortable providing an app with certain permissions you should avoid it/uninstall.
