    Hello everyone!

Maybe it's solved somewhere, but I can't find it, so I don't know if I'm talking in second place about it.

It's about the youtube on blackberry. Long story short: it works.

This is how I did it:

1- get the .apk app of youtube (it has to be specifically 2.2.16, otherwise, it won't work. This version allows you to search, versions 5.5.32 and up won't let you search [authentication error])

2- go to PlayBook .apk to .bar converter and convert it to .bar

3- sideload the converted youtube2.2.16.bar to the playbook, the way you're used to (ddpb, or the app in google chrome, which is faster)

    4- enjoy!

I hope this helps. This page took me out of trouble in the past with my playbook, I just wanted to give a little help to playbook users like me outthere.

I watch YouTube on my playbook just about every night via StereoTube. You should try it.

I have no problems with the YouTube app EXCEPT that I once I expand a video to full screen, and after the full screen controls fade, I can't get them back! Is there a special gesture that's needed. My only option with full screen videos in the app is to swipe up and close the app.

    Please help!

    Interesting.
Since official support was withdrawn I used StereoTube, sometimes Origami.
And more often - just opening shared Youtube links in native browser (yes, they work).

Often use Origami to watch YouTube videos through my TV using the HDMI connection.
Haven't found a way of logging in though.

It is possible to log into your Youtube account through GhostCommander. I haven't done much more than log in so I can't say how useful, stable, or secure it is.
